    • The watershed area is spread above Punugala, Halgolle and Ullswater division. A small stream, which is called Olu Ella ( Fall), which is about 127 m high and the 5th highest water fall in Sri Lankas well as the highest waterfall in Kegalle District and the Kelani River, is originated from the upper watershed of this Estate and join to We-Oya at downstream. We-Oya is the main tributary of the KelaniRiver. Therefore Wewelthalawa (above 4000 ft MSL) is the watershed for the We-Oya and sub-watershed for the KelaniRiver. This area is highly sensitive and important watershed.
